Bella Vista Athletic Parents,

Due to the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 virus we are suspending all Bella Vista athletics effective immediately.  Teams are not to practice or compete until April 13th in an attempt to keep all schools in our leagues on a level playing field.  Below is the message from CVC league commissioner Al Hooker:

"The Board has adopted the most restrictive policy to ensure all schools have the same level of disadvantage.  This is the fairest solution as it relates to league play.  Playoffs and the timing of playoffs were not a consideration in this decision.  Should the current pandemic suddenly improve, we will make the appropriate move to reinstate athletics.  This suspension applies to ALL sports at all levels.  When we are able to restart the season, there will have to be major revisions to the schedule and format."  

CIF has not made any section or statewide restrictions at this time but are planning to meet on Tuesday, March 17th so we may know more after that time.

While athletics is a huge part of the high school experience for many of our students we want to keep their safety and the safety of our entire community as our main priority.  We hope to resume the spring season after spring break, April 13th, and we will send updates from the Athletic department and through coaches as information becomes available.
